Obituary
Csilla Veronika Dudas 49, of Tucson died on February 16, 2006 from
complication following a difficult heart surgery. Csilla is loved and
survived by her brothers, Fran (Rigel) and Laszlo (Cassandra); her
nephews, Tristan (Jennifer) and Shannon; niece, Tara (Lincoln); and
great-nephew, Lucas. Her parents Laszlo, Sr. and Charlotte, preceded her
in death.
Csilla has kept close ties throughout her lifetime with
relatives in Hungary, enjoying her visits there, and immersing herself
in the culture and language. Their cousin, Kati's, visits here will
always bring joyful memories. Csilla was born in Anaconda, Montana, and
moved to Tucson with her family in 1968. She graduated from University
of Arizona with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Science. She was
fortunate to be able to work in her field at U of A, Dept. of
Nutritional Sciences for more than 25 years, enjoying a challenging
career while developing strong friendships with her colleagues. For many
years she has been an active member of the Society for Creative
Anachronisms, indulging herself in her enjoyment of all things medieval,
numerous Renaissance Festivals, feasts and costuming, as well as her
close personal friendships. She enjoyed her commitment and friends in
the Hungarian-American Club, always continuing her love of the language,
music, food and embroideries of Hungary. Csilla's delight in needlework,
cooking and socializing were evident till the end. Her creative life was
cut far too short by her life-long affliction with diabetes, which
ultimately destroyed her heart.
A memorial mass will be held at Saints
